Water and Mountains – Youth for a Sustainable Future
V4 Generation Mobility Mini-Grant
Mobility 1 - Flow of Resilience, Prague, Czech Republic02/06/2026 - 05/06/2026
The project links environmental education with experiential learning and physical activity in nature and urban areas. It aims to buildcompetencies for sustainable living, adaptability, and well-being among youth in the V4 region. The Czech partner (Gymnázium ULibeňského zámku, Prague) hosts the first mobility, centered on water management and urban resilience. The Slovak school (Gymnázium,Kukučínova, Poprad) coordinates the project and hosts the second mobility in the Tatras, focusing on sustainable tourism and biodiversity. Each school sends 10 students (aged 15–17) and 2 teachers (+2 more students in Slovakia). Activities include expert-led workshops, hiking, canoeing, field observations, and cultural evenings. Students will co-create outputs such as a Responsible Tourist Manifesto, a Green CityWater Zone model, and a mini guidebook for schools. The project promotes teamwork, intercultural dialogue, and awareness of SDGs (3, 6,13, 15, 17). Participants reflect on how nature and movement support mental health and resilience. Outputs will be shared with schools andcommunities and used in future learning. The project connects environmental education with personal development and hands-on learning. The outputs (roll-up, model, online guidebook) will serve as long-term educational materials for future students and will be presented atregional and school events. Both partner schools intend to build upon this cooperation through future V4 environmental initiatives.
